Serve With Kids
If you love being around kids, this one's for you. Mentor, encourage, lead an activity. Our whole-family approach means the next generation matters just as much as anyone else, and you get to be part of helping them grow.

Support Families
Sometimes the most meaningful thing you can do is just show up. This role is about creating a welcoming experience for the families we walk alongside in Walton Communities, Augusta, and Gainesville. Whether it's a single event or something ongoing, you'll be part of making someone feel cared for.

Community Outreach
This is the behind-the-scenes crew. Setting up, greeting people, keeping things running smoothly so our events actually come to life. If you like jumping in and getting things done, this is a great place to start, especially if you're bringing your whole family along.

Become a Literacy Mentor
Join Mission 1:27 in changing a child's story! By volunteering just one hour a week for eight weeks at the Walton Ridenour Adventure Center, you'll spend time reading with kindergarten through fifth-grade students while helping them grow in confidence and develop a love for reading.
“I started volunteering with Mission 1:27 in High School for the sole purpose of completing a service hour requirement, but little did I know these little hearts over time would slowly start to change mine. I felt the burden to be consistent with Mission 1:27 and that is where the life changing stuff started to happen. I was able to grow up while watching these kiddos grow up, too.
Seeing their strength, determination, and spunky personalities burdened my heart to the point of wanting to pursue a career walking alongside kids with a similar story. Volunteering with Mission 1:27 changed my life and I don’t stay that lightly. Jesus is in the mission, Jesus is in the buildings, and our goal is to make way for Jesus to live in these kids’ hearts for eternity.”
